There are some big plans for YG Entertainment.
Earlier this year, YG Entertainment revealed that they would be airing a TV survival show program for an upcoming boy group that the company is putting together. Today a YG spokesperson said they would be postponing the show,
The survival program “WIN”, the program that was to help form a new YG boy group
for the first time in 7 years after BIGBANG, is to be postponed to July 26 for several reasons.
But with the postponing of the program, there were some positive changes made to solo album
debut plans for KANG SEUNG-YOON, who is one of the members of the show “WIN”.
Though with the postponing YG is now able to focus on the upcoming solo debut of Kang Seung-Yoon who has been eagerly awaiting to become seen amongst the music nation. His new album entitled Wild and Young was set to release today, but since it was supposed to be during the summer season and the rainy season has just entered Korea, the company decided to release his It’s Rainy album first.
Once his albums have been released, YG will start focusing on the new television program in which Kang Seung-Yoon is supposed to take part in. The show is a survival show where the winning group will be formed into a new boy group called the Winners.
Fans around the world have also been wondering about Taeyang‘s upcoming solo album which has been taking a while and there has been very little news. YG is now proud to say that Taeyang is in the process of creating his first album on his own and that fans should be patient and anticipate what he will have to offer. As we know, Taeyang has been traveling back and forth between Korea and the States to meet with several artist. There are already 10 songs on the list and the new album has been set to release during the beginning of September.
As far as 2ne1 news, YG has stated that,
2NE1’s next new song will be released at the beginning of August as planned.
CL’s hip-hop solo song “THE BADDEST FEMALE” and 2NE1’s reggae “FALLING IN LOVE”, which were both
non-mainstream, were a first attempt at the genres for the group. But the new song that is to be released
at the beginning of August is a fast-paced and rhythmic song that is aimed for summer. The song is very 2NE1.
