San E Takes 2nd Crown on MelOn’s Chart

Korean rapper San E secured the top spot of MelOn’s weekly singles chart, while not-so-dynamic movement was observed on the overall chart lasts week.

San E took the No. 1 spot for two weeks running on MelOn’s weekly singles chart with his hip-hop sound “Story of Someone I Know” during the week of August 12 to 18, the Korea’ biggest music streaming website showed on Monday.

Rookie group Crayon Pop’s catchy tune “Bar Bar Bar” also stayed on second place, while K-pop princesses f(x)’s “Rum Pum Pum Pum” sat on the third place.

Solo artist Ailee’s “U & I” remained on the fourth place, while EXO’s urban hip-hop “Growl” stepped up a slot to the fifth place.

Other tunes much beloved last week includes A PINK’s hit tune “NoNoNo,” Huh Gak’s new tune “You’re Mine,” 2NE1′s summer love song “DO YOU LOVE ME,” BEAST’s dark love song “Shadow” and Brown Eyed Girls’ retro sound “Kill Bill.”

Over on the albums chart, there was no change from the previous week for all the top five records.

Hip-hop group Dynamic Duo’s seventh album “Luckynumbers” stayed on the top spot for two consecutive weeks, while f(x)’s “Pink Tape” followed on the second spot.

While SISTAR’s second studio album “Give It To Me” stayed on the third spot, EXO’s first repackaged album “XOXO” sat on the fourth spot and Ailee’s second mini album “A’s Doll House” rounded of the top five on the chart.
