G-Dragon's New Single To Be Used As Theme For YG's Reality Show 'WIN' YG Entertainment's New Boy Group to be Chosen through Survival Program

G-Dragon’s upcoming single has been confirmed as the opening theme for YG Entertainment’s new reality competition show.

WIN (Who Is Next?) is a self-produced music competition show from YG Entertainment that will pit two groups of male trainees against each other to be the next boy band to debut under the label.

The theme song for the ten-episode program will be YG’s star performer-composer-producer G-Dragon’s new single “Shake the World,” it was announced through the company’s official blog this week.

The company also confirmed that G-Dragon and his best friend, fellow Big Bang group mate Taeyang, will also appear in WIN as mentors for the young competitors.

The program is set to air on August 23 and will be simultaneously shown on Mnet and tvN.

On August 20 the members of the two competing teams will be introduced through a press conference where YG CEO Yang Hyun Suk will also reveal the details of the show’s format.

Viewers will be able to cast votes in order to determine the winning team and that group will debut immediately under the name ‘Winner.’

Meanwhile, G-Dragon himself is preparing to release his second full-length studio album, a project that has significant buzz surrounding it for months after it was revealed earlier this year that the K-Pop sensation had collaborated with American hip-hop icon Missy Elliott for a couple tracks.

The two will be appearing at North America’s largest K-Pop convention, KCON, on August 25 for a special taping of M! Countdown.
