Veteran singer Cho Yong-pil, not pictured, and musicians from 16 groups, including Kim Chang-ryeol of DJ DOC, third from left, recorded one of Cho’s hits, “Let’s Go on a Trip”, for the music festival “Super Sonic 2013″ on Monday.

Cho, who is performing for the first time at a festival, will receive no pay for his performance. Instead, he asked indie bands to join the festival so that more musicians can interact with the public.

SM, YG, JYP and Star Empire request investigations into music chart manipulation
Top agencies SM Entertainment, YG Entertainment, JYP Entertainment and Star Empire Entertainment have filed an official complaint to the Seoul Central District Prosecutors’ Office against digital music chart manipulation issues.The four agencies requested a thorough investigation on acts of manipulation regarding digital music streaming usage figures.
